High relaxation

Find yourself kind of floating above all buildings and amongst the trees. Perfect tranquility with the sound of birds or the wind whispering. Call it Shinrin Yoku if you like. We call it the deeply human need for withdrawal into soothing nature.

Rock Pool

In 1910 guests helped my great grandparents with constructing a rock pool far up the Tannerhof hillside. A little bell fixed to a tree would inform the single swimmer if someone else was on their way. Unfortunately, over the decades the pool was spilled with gravel. A couple of years ago, Roger constructed a small pond beneath the original rock pool. It fills with natural water from a rivulet. The charming open air shower and the wooden deck make for a great little retreat. And do you hear that bell ringing...?

The sublime lime tree

This magnificent tree with its five stems guards the Tannerhof on it's outer right boundary. From up here you have a wide view of the Leitzach valley. Try sitting or standing in the midst of the five powerful stems and gaze at the crown up above. There is a swing on the lower branch - come, be a child again! Or choose one of the benches - what a place to just sit and stare or ponder on life...

The sauna

Our sauna is truely special. One of the oldest in Germany this quaint sweating lodge was built in 1936. Besides the electric stove there is a real wood burning stove for the good old and pure sauna feeling which the vast sauna landscapes lack these days. Added by a second, milder sauna of 50-60°C with fragrant Kelo wood there is a choice of both really hot and... hot. Lovingly decorated with matured wood, historic tiles and characteristic lighting.

The relaxation area lives up to its reputation. No disturbing exits to the outside interrupt your dreaming, gazing into the landscape or dozing off into relaxed sleep. And you will be kept nice and warm by the old Bullerjahn wood firing stove.
