VERNISSAGE LUKAS NIEDERMEIER - DISCLOSED RELATIONS
Date: Thursday 10. July 2025
City: Galerie im Treppenhaus
Admission: 4 PM / Start: until 6 PM
Price: Free entry Members: Kultursprung e.V. Free entry
The Tannerhof is a place that is constantly on the move — and it has to be. Nevertheless, it exudes a sense of calm that is almost impossible to escape. It is a house where connections are tangible and relevant. A place of dependencies and relationships. What interventions can be made to make these visible? How do we, as guests, employees and visitors, move through our surroundings, and what do we perceive? Inside and outside.
In his first solo exhibition, Lukas Niedermeier explores what is already there, what is hidden and what goes unnoticed. Through in situ interventions and work concepts at the interface with science, he attempts to present these relationships more clearly, while also blurring them in a simultaneous process. For the exhibition DISCLOSED RELATIONS at Galerie im Treppenhaus 1967, new works were created in direct dialogue with Tannerhof guests and employees. Their gazes were recorded in advance using eye-tracking technology and transferred into sculptural topographies.
Lukas Niedermeier, who is from Bayrischzell, is currently studying in the Kretschmann class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

ANGELA AUX
Date: Thursday 25. September 2025
City: Hall in the bathhouse
Admission: 8:00 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 22 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 18 €
Angela Aux, for years on a mission between pop and underground, anti-folk and experimental pop. Notorious songwriter and weirdo, mastermind of Aloa Input, film music and typewriter performances, contemporary to eclectic, cheerful to melancholic to bizarre. His live shows have long been insider tips, solo and with a great band, beautiful choral singing to broken hobo lyrics with changing references from Beck to Velvet Underground, Mac DeMarco, Beatles and Justin Vernon. Many years on the road in dress and wig, recently disguised as an alien. Announcing the future, serving from the past, always creating confusion in the present.
"Perfectly formed, meditative and at times beautiful folk. You will have to search a long time for a better songwriter album this year."
- Musikexpress
"Angela Aux is one of the great artists and networkers of Bavarian subculture"
- Süddeutsche Zeitung
"The new Crosby, Stills, Nash & Nico.
- Zündfunk
"The twisted spirit of Angela Aux creates timeless, modern songs that make it hard to find a comparably good album in this genre anywhere at the moment."
- Sound Spy

Kultursprung: Carolyn Breuer & Andrea Hermenau - Oneironaut
Date: Thursday 23. October 2025
City: Hall in the bathhouse
Admission: 8:00 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 18 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 15 €
Two sensitive, multi-award-winning Munich musicians have joined forces: saxophonist Carolyn Breuer, who has caused an international sensation with many of her own projects such as "Four Seasons Of Life" and "Shoot The Piano Player", and pianist and singer Andrea Hermenau, who became known through bands such as "Etna" and "Die Drei Damen", was nominated for the BMW Jazz Award with her quintet in 2020 and received the City of Munich's Music Promotion Prize in 2021.
In April 23, they released their first CD together entitled "Oneironaut" on the EnjaRecords label and were promptly nominated for the German Record Critics' Award. After the importance of mental and emotional oases for people became enormously clear in the last crisis-ridden years, they composed music together that should open up the possibility for people to dream themselves into other worlds, like a oneironaut who can steer his lucid dreams into the positive. The result is elegant music that is full of poetry but also power.
Carolyn Breuer's saxophone and Andrea Hermenau's voice, which she knows how to use almost instrumentally, circle around each other in imaginatively arranged original compositions - they nestle together and skillfully drift apart again."'Oneironaut' is a saxophone album, piano album and vocal album in equal measure - and strong from start to finish." JazzThing
" Both saxophone and piano captivate the ear with their improvisational imagination." JazzThing " An album that skillfully narrates, (a) finely woven musical work of art, airy-light and dreamily floating." Concerto
"Soul music" Jazzthetik
" The ten original pieces by Breuer and Hermenau plus Victor Young's My foolish heart as a brilliant opener are very fine jazz with a dreamlike extra: Andrea Hermenau's sugar-sweet voice (...). At the latest in the following Polarstern (...) you sink at the feet of the successful concept (...) - and want more, because this is pure poetry." Musenblätter
" beautiful album", "highly enjoyable". Musenblätter
"This is uncompromising jazz, coming from the heart and deeply anchored in the roots, highly sensitive, fresh." Radio Okerwelle
"Originals that are poetic gems, tender and luminous." Radio OkerwelleCAROLYN BREUER
The daughter of the renowned jazz trombonist and pianist Hermann Breuer was born in Munich on July 4, 1969. Her father Hermann Breuer introduced Carolyn, who had switched from piano to (mind you) classical saxophone lessons, to the basics of jazz. Evening music at home with her father became a "ritual". So it was only natural that she played in several bands from the age of 15. At 19, Carolyn became the first female member of the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer. Carolyn studied jazz at the conservatory in Hilversum from 1988 to 1993 with Holland's leading saxophonist Ferdinand Povel, who later even included his former student in his band. During her studies, she played in the house band of Thomas Gottschalk's Late Night Show, among others. She regularly played month-long engagements in Athens with her own Carolyn Breuer Quartet. She played saxophone in an advertising film for drum tobacco, which was shown in cinemas all over the world. She also recorded her first CD "A Family Affair" together with her father for the established jazz label "Enja-Records" at the age of 21. She played with this project at numerous festivals, including the Jazztage Burghausen.

Andrea Hermenau graduated from Tegernsee grammar school in 2000 and won the "Mix on the Road" composition competition organized by Keyboards magazine in the same year. This prize took her to Nashville, where she recorded her own composition with studio musicians and producer Jim Bonnefond (Kool & the Gang). From 2001 to 2006, Hermenau studied jazz piano with Tizian Jost and jazz singing with Karren Edwards and Lisa Wahlandt at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. During this time, she was a member of the Landesjugendjazzorchester Bayern and the band Etna, which won the "Landesjugend jazzt" competition in Bavaria in 2002 and recorded two albums. At the same time, she began her long-standing collaboration with Harald Rüschenbaum, in whose big band and quartet "Cosmodrom" she played. Another collaboration came about with the band Frankzone featuring Johannes Enders, which produced a CD for Deutschlandfunk, winning the national "Jugend jazzt" competition in 2003. From 2005 to 2007, she was engaged as a percussionist at the Residenztheater for the play "Die Backchen" by Euripides, directed by Dieter Dorn. Andrea Hermenau studied jazz composition with Prof. Thomas Zoller at the Dresden University of Music and graduated with distinction in 2010. Shortly afterwards, the album "Joshua" (Traumton Records) by the Fjoralba Turku Quartet was released, in which she was involved as arranger and pianist. She recorded the music she wrote during her composition studies with her quartet, resulting in the album "Die Nachtpracht" (Unit Records). She regularly toured Germany and Europe with the band "Die Drei Damen", and the group released four albums on the Enja label. She has recorded music for various films, e.g. "Almanya" and "Die guten Feinde". In spring 2020, she was nominated for the BMW Welt Jazz Award with her quintet, and in 2021 she received the City of Munich's Music Promotion Award. Her collaboration with saxophonist Carolyn Breuer was documented on vinyl in 2021. In April 2023, the album "Oneironaut" by Carolyn Breuer and Andrea Hermenau was released on the Enja label and nominated for the German Record Critics' Award. Since summer semester 2024 she has a teaching position for jazz piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

JAZZ EVENING
edit Book
When the mountain peaks outside are glowing in the last evening light and the cool November air is drawing in over Bayrischzell, a fire is lit inside the Tannerhof - a musical fire. Three extraordinary musicians ensure that the November blues don't stand a chance: With piano, vibraphone and guitar, they conjure up cozy warmth in your heart and ears. In the cozy ambience of the Tannerhof, surrounded by the special charm of the house in the mountains, an evening full of sound magic and tongue-in-cheek joy of playing awaits us.
The trio
André Schwager (piano) - a renowned Munich jazz pianist who makes the keys dance, sometimes gently and sensitively, sometimes lively and virtuosically.
Carlos Vera Larrucea (vibraphone) - a vibraphonist from Chile who creates real "good vibes" with his floating timbres and pulsating rhythms. When he is not on the Hofkultur stage, he can be found in the orchestra pit of the Bavarian State Orchestra or teaching at the University of Music in Munich.
Miyajima Mitsuyoshi (guitar) - a guitarist from Japan who has found his second home in Munich and uses his strings to incorporate Far Eastern melodies into jazz. He has performed several times with Coconami on the Hofkulturbühne and is currently also on tour with band colleague André Schwager with the trip hop band FEH.
Together, these three sound artists build a bridge between musical worlds. Their repertoire ranges from lively jazz classics and graceful melodies from the land of the rising sun to groovy original compositions. Sometimes spirited and rousing, sometimes tender and dreamy - the trio knows how to take its audience on a musical journey, where musical virtuosity meets a living room concert atmosphere and every note seems to resonate in the clear mountain air - high quality, handmade, full of passion and unique. -
DUENDE - MELIS ÇOM AND FLURIN MÜCK
Date: Thursday 27. November 2025
City: Hall in the Bathhouse
Admission: 8 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 22 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 18 €
That's Duende: Melis Çom on the harp and Flurin Mück on the drums.
The combination of harp and percussion is rare. Bringing these two sound worlds together poses a fascinating musical challenge, which the two instrumentalists meet with flair in their programme and compositions. The result is unique:
timbres, wondrous harmonies, and striking contrasts between strings and drums. Their music is influenced by classical music, Turkish folk music, jazz and electronic music, as well as their improvisations.Melis Çom completed a Master's degree in Classical Harp and Contemporary Music at HMTM Munich, graduating with honours from both programmes. From 2010 to 2019, she studied and lived in Istanbul, spending a year in Paris in 2013. She currently lives and works as a freelance musician in Munich. She has performed with the Jewish Chamber Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, and Ensemble Oktopus, among others. Her performances have taken her to the Venice Biennale, the Isarphilharmonie Munich, and the Kammerspiele München, where she performed as a soloist. In 2022, she was awarded the DAAD Prize by HMTM Munich. From 2023 to 2025, she presented her own concert series, 'Harp O'Clock', showcasing the harp in various musical contexts.
Flurin Mück was born in Basel in 1992 and completed his Bachelor's degree in Jazz Percussion at the University of Music and Theatre in his hometown. Since 2015, he has lived in Munich, where he completed his Master of Music at the University of Music and Theatre in 2017. He has worked as a freelance musician ever since. He is a permanent member of the Dreiviertelblut band, the Simon POPP drum trio, and the children's programme Das Nix, led by Sarah Mettenleiter. He has performed with various ensembles at the Circus Krone in Munich, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and the Jazzopen in Stuttgart, as well as with Moop Mama, Fazer, Ami Warning, Claudia Koreck, and others. Alongside his work as a live drummer, Flurin Mück regularly contributes to film and TV soundtrack recordings as a sound engineer and percussionist.

KID EMPRESS
Date: Thursday 04. December 2025
City: Hall in the bathhouse
Admission: 8:00 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 22 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 18 €
We should all allow ourselves to see the world through the eyes of a child from time to time. At least that's what Anna Gosteli, Baf Scheipers, Sam Hylton, Joscha Arnold and Severin Rauch think.
The unbiased view of life enriches it immensely. It allows people to marvel, dream and be equal - no matter where they are from, what they look like or who they love. With Kid Empress, five friends celebrate the creative energy and the power of imagination that carried them through their jazz studies together a few years ago. In their music, they enjoy drifting through the boundless indie cosmos, combining breakbeat with rock. Industrial with pop, and electro with a penchant for Scandinavian clarity. Their songs bow to different cultures, are reluctant to commit themselves to one musical home, find their foundation between the chairs and float so wonderfully hard to grasp directly into the heart.
The international band wants to establish "slow listening" as an art form. Their debut album SPIT OUT LIGHT has become a quiet but long-lasting drumbeat. In order to give the individual tracks on the new album the attention they deserve, they were initially released as stand-alone singles. Only later will their interaction be explored in album format.

PRESS
Sensitive people like to avoid boxing with the excuse that there are ruffians hanging around; louts with thick legs and big mouths who hit each other first with words, then with fists. The opposite is the case, at least at Mariposa BC. You only meet butterflies there, who let their weight float through the ring on the wings of mindfulness and universal love. You could also say that you only meet nice people here. i am very grateful for that. - Jan Weiler
As a child, there were only two occasions when I was woken up in the middle of the night: The moon landing or a boxing match. I found the latter more impressive. Decades later, I now watch the guys and girls from the Mariposa Boxing Club with the same enthusiasm. They box against all kinds of boxing clubs, it makes BRRRRP! and they win most of the fights. They just look at you and you immediately want to spend time with them, let them teach you something. The secret behind it is probably this mixture of fun and responsibility, fun and respect, ease and technique. - Martin Fengel
Learning to walk. Living. Lying down... That's what it looks like for all of us. Dancing in between. With you. Your shadow. Your partner. And everyone else!
... with falling down and getting up. Ducking away. Tucking in. Dealing. Two steps forward, one step back
... and vice versa. Desperation before the how. Being able to go in all directions. Fighting the bastard. Your own.
...and everyone else. And respect! Never demand, only earn. Always give. Even at eye level. Never underneath. Dedication and humility and concentration...with plenty of breaks!
The rumble when you fall asleep. Collecting yourself. The calm that comes after you've exhausted yourself. And the happiness when you have completed the last round.
Then you can lie down! ...Do you know?... Go to the Mariposa Boxing Club! - Aurel MantheiYou may also be interested in
