EXHIBITION FLORIAN BACHMEIER - WORLD ABOUT | WITHIN
Date: Sunday 04. January 2026
City: Gallery in the stairwell
FLORIAN BACHMEIER - WORLD ABOUT | WITHIN
Photography is always created in an intermediate space: between what exists in front of the camera and what we recognize in it. It is in this narrow gap - in the breach between the outside world and the inner world - that the actual work of the image begins. This is where perception shifts, where meaning emerges, where poetry grows.
Florian Bachmeier's photographic works operate precisely in this field of tension. His pictures observe and yet at the same time open up a second level that is only formed in the viewer's gaze. The documented reality - fragile landscapes, people in transition, places on the margins - remain present, but are complemented by an inner echo triggered by the images.
The exhibition invites us to look at these two levels together: the world that surrounds us and the world that is created within us. Bachmeier's photographs not only show how it is; they create space for what we can see in it. In this field of tension, a silent dialog opens up about perception, reality and the moments that take place between the two.Florian Bachmeier, winner of the World Press Photo Contest 2025, born in Tegernsee, lives and works in Munich and Madrid.
EXHIBITION UNTIL 4 JUNE 2026 // Daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. // Free admission

HafnerBurgmayr present an evening full of songs and poems that didn't exist yesterday, but are already popular hits today: Streichle Blumen, Alois oder nichts, Lü znü No, Friedl der Weps, ampi öhlei, Walzer mit Meer, Brez Brez, etc.
Tubist, pianist, accordionist, and bass singer Florian Burgmayr likes to sit at the piano until the early hours of the morning, spinning music and poetry. Often, it is impossible to distinguish one from the other. Violist and singer Maria Hafner captures these nocturnal musings, and together they bring them to the stage. The result is what the author simply refers to as mimpfmöh.
Visitor comment: “Great, it gives your brain a break!”
“It has a touch of Bavarian humor: the two don't take themselves seriously. Bavarians like that.” Qooz TheaterLiteratureMusicBallet Blog by Max Kuhlmann

As a tuba player, he is at home in both brass bands and new music (Art Ensemble Passau), while as a pianist and accordion player, he is in high demand as an accompanist for recitals and readings. He has also made a name for himself as a stage musician in theaters (Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, Lustspielhaus Munich, among others) and has composed numerous theater scores himself (Luisenburgfestspiele Wunsiedel, Komödienstadl BR, among others). He has also set short films and radio plays to music (Bayerischer Rundfunk, Dr. Döblingers geschmackvolles Kasperltheater, among others). Soulkraut feat. Juli Fehenberger / Full of Dreams
Date: Thursday 12. February 2026
City: Hall in the bathhouse
Admission: 8:00 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 22 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 18 €
Soulkraut & Juli Fehenberger
Soulkraut - a Munich organ trio with a classic line-up: Adrian Reiter on guitar, André Schwager on Hammond organ, Christoph Holzhauser on drums. A rich, handmade sound between soul, funk and rare groove. Music that gets to the core because it is honest.
Plus the voice of Juli Fehenberger (also on the road as FEH ) - hovering between trip-hop, neo-soul and jazz. When she joins Soulkraut as a special guest, something unique is created: compositions by Adrian Reiter, complemented by jointly developed pieces that sometimes glow gently, sometimes have a lot of pepper.
Both have long been established voices on the Bavarian jazz scene - present in venues such as the Unterfahrt in Munich or at the Burghausen Jazz Week. And always with that special blend of skill, joy and that subtle lightness that good music needs.
"You could also read it as a recipe, the name of guitarist Adrian Reiter's new trio project, which he presented at the Unterfahrt: Take catchy but provocative melody lines, spice them up with plenty of funky grooves, tasteful voicings and laid-back solos, and have it all served up by an effects-laden guitar, powerful drums and a sometimes wafting, sometimes hissing Hammond organ: And there you have it, the soul kraut.
Of course, band leader Reiter, who also wrote all the compositions, is referring to something else, something quite self-confident: "We Krauts can also do the black sound from the sixties and seventies, as represented for Reiter by the old Motown recordings, the Southern R'n'B of the Meters or the neo-soul of the Daptones, among others.
Of course, no one has seriously doubted this for a long time. Also thanks to André Schwager, who has been right at the top of the Hammond organ specialist ranks for years - with the likes of Barbara Dennerlein, Hansi Enzensperger and Matthias Bublath - and has grooved with Pee Wee Ellis and the Soulmates in addition to his own trio. Or a (Moop Mama) drummer like Christoph Holzhauser, who has dedicated himself to the driving beats of soul and funk in equal measure.
Reiter's soul herb grown with this trio is nevertheless a plant all of its own. Because everything from the phrasing to the harmonic ideas emphasizes the jazz background of the three. And because the pieces played in public for the first time at the Unterfahrt - and for the most part also collected on the self-published album "Full Of Dreams" - are always based on Reiter's experiences or emotions. "Green Odyssey", for example, is a casual homage to Al Green. "Fiat Ritmo" derives its funk theme from the memory of a wrecked car that was parked in his street for a long time when Reiter was young. "Pardon My English" refers to an absurd communication hurdle during a stay in the USA and - like Reiter's moderation in the Unterfahrt - is infused with a quiet humor. So it's a well-rounded affair, soul jazz that puts you in a good mood."
Oliver Hochkeppel in the Süddeutsche Zeitung"Yes, we Krauts can do soul too, we understand powerful, bouncy grooves over which the guitar can show all its funkiness and the Hammond B 3 wobbles, hisses and roars wonderfully. /.../ Jazz that is soulful, that feeds the heart and head in equal measure and - depending on the project - was created in very different ways. Their collective sound is damn tight, but also very cool and casual, inspired by legendary Motown recordings, by the Meters, the Daptones, but also by John Scofield. The great thing is that despite the audible influences, the three Krauts have developed something of their own that gets by without fiddling, always gets to the heart of the music quickly and shows us that there is nothing reprehensible about simplicity." Holger Scheidt Quartet / Swimming Elephants
Date: Thursday 05. March 2026
City: Hall in the bathhouse
Admission: 8:00 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 22 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 18 €
Open and clear voice leading characterizes this direct acoustic jazz music. Atonal modernism meets romantic classicism. What has a stronger effect, whether gravity or buoyancy, is determined by the inner logic and the spontaneous improvisational moments of this music. All four musicians, masters of their craft, create wonderfully transparent, narrative music from the interaction between the clear form of Holger Scheidt's compositions and the improvisational openness they allow.

"You might be heavy, but you're still floating"
What weight do floating elephants have?
Double bassist Holger Scheidt brings a three-part quartet to the Hofkultürbühne, three voices plus drums. His music combines the heavy with the light by making monumental, earthy melody lines dance."Despite all the density with lightness and grandeur" wrote Rainer Bratfisch in Jazzpodium about the improvisation on Scheidt's latest album Schwimmende Elefanten (enja records 2018)

Daniel He / May living splendid like summer flowers and death tranquil like autumn leaves
Date: Thursday 16. April 2026
City: Hall in the bathhouse
Admission: 8:00 PM / Start: 8:30 PM
Price: 22 € Members: Kultursprung e.V. 18 €
If the world of music were a landscape, Daniel He would have made himself at home somewhere on a hill between Elliott Smith, Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell. The 24-year-old Chinese singer/songwriter - originally from Wuhan - presents us with a multi-layered view of a life between East and West. On a visit to China, Daniel realizes how everything has changed there. In Germany, life is freer for him, but not necessarily easier. In his music, these contradictions are allowed to coexist.
Daniel's bittersweet indie folk is unique: introspective, poetic. He reflects the distance to his own origins and at the same time the survival of rituals, language and emotional traces. For Daniel He, music is a means of making the intangible tangible. As he puts it: "I write to translate me to myself." Daniel He sees himself as an observer and descriptor of life and takes a lot of time to write lyrics.
