Paul is from here. He grew up in Agatharied. In his parents' fruit and vegetable business, he put his heart and soul into selecting the best foods at an early age. So he trained as a chef - in the Bischoff star kitchen on the lake. After that he was a junior chef at the Almcafé Aibl and sous chef at the Kirinus Alpenpark Klinik. Now he is at the Tannerhof - as head chef!
His goal at the end of the day is as simple as it is demanding: that the guest is happy. And that the food is planet-healthy.
But also 'to be a little better every day than the day before'.
Paul's passion is to prepare food in such a way that it pleases the palate and the eyes in equal measure. Sometimes the simple things can be the best - as long as there is love in it, as well as respect for our food and resources.
Born and raised in Styria, trained in the legendary Hotel Daniel in Graz 'Edi' made a stopover at the Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch in Frankfurt before joining the Arabella Sheraton Group for many years. He managed the F&B at the Arabella Sheraton Westpark in Munich before, thankfully, ending his career there for the sake of adding to the Tannerhofs genuity with his much loved Austrian charme and professionality. He has been through all ups and downs with us, repeatedly proving to be the perfect host for our guests and a colleague we wouldn't want to do without.
Vroni was raised in Bayrischzell and quite like Moritz grew up in her parents‘ restaurant – however, amidst ski slopes and hiking trails instead of lakeside: the Waller Alm, located on the Sudelfeld, is a magnet for mountain afficionados. Time and again we notice that Vroni simply has a different perception of 'busy' or 'problem'. Busy for us is chill for her. Close to heart attack for us is 'ok, speed up a little' for her. Vroni is our living OMM and our anchor when things get rough. In her best times she combined Tannerhof shifts with Waller Alm shifts. Hardcore even to imagine, no problem for Vroni. What would we do without her passion for service!
Wine, wine and more wine is Johannes' greatest hobby: talking about it, reading about it, drinking it or touring wine-growing regions. Even during his training as a hotel manager, the native of Berchtesgaden, or more precisely: Rupertigauer! knew that everything was heading for the sommelier. We abbreviate: 2015 - Training Sommelier Austria | 2017 Diploma Sommelier with 1s cut | First sommelier competitions | 2018 Sparkling Wine Sommelier | 2019 Introductory Sommelier and Certified Sommelier of the Court of Mastersommeliers in London. Well, this will not be the end. We appreciate Johannes for many things, but not least for his fine, pointed humor.
