Cross-country skiing
Winter leaves its mark. And you follow them - in Bayrischzell, on around 100 kilometers of groomed trails. Classic or skating. From easy beginners to the sporty Route 36 - across the valley, over altitude meters, through quiet forests and along glistening streams. DSV-certified. Extensive. No lift. Just you, the trail and the crunching snow.
Skiing
It's the curve that counts, not the kilometers. The Sudelfeld in Bayrischzell is not a mega resort, but a charmingly original neighboring slope. On around 31 km of groomed pistes - nestled in the impressive mountain landscape between 850 m and 1,563 m - you will find everything: wide family pistes, sporty runs and a modern lift system with 5 and 8-seater chairlifts as well as 12 T-bar and magic carpet lifts. The modern Sudelfeldkopf 8-seater chairlift takes you directly to sun-kissed heights. And if you want to discover even more: You can also reach the Spitzingsee ski area in just 15 minutes - another snow paradise just around the corner.
Ski touring
Ski boots on, skins on, off you go - without a lift. Bayrischzell offers marked ascent routes, e.g. the classic Rosengasse-Vogelsang tour on the Sudelfeld or challenging routes to the Rotwand and Hochmiesing. They start almost on the doorstep, climb through quiet forests and end in cozy alpine huts. Freedom on two skis - and the silence of the mountains included.
Snowshoeing
It's not getting any slower. And no clearer either. Two signposted routes directly near Bayrischzell lead through white forests and across tranquil meadows: the leisurely Geitau tour for a first introduction and the Wendelstein tour - challenging, beautiful, with far-reaching views. If you want to go higher, book a guided tour to the Seewand or Lacherspitz. All covered in deep snow, without pistes, without the hustle and bustle. Simply step by step - through the winter.
Tobogganing
Two runners, one mountain - and off you go. Real natural toboggan runs await you around Bayrischzell. The Wildalpjoch-Wendelstein tour offers hairpin bends, speed and views - 7.6 km and 400 vertical meters, panorama at the top, endorphins at the bottom. A little shorter, but just as beautiful: the Mariandlalm tour through the Trockenbachtal valley. Sun, snow and a warm soup at the finish. Or the classic to the Sillberghaus - 2.4 km through snow-covered forest, less going on, more peace and quiet. No lift, no ticket. Just a sledge. And the feeling of being a child. Once again.
