Training the immune system means training with stimulus.

The Immune Booster programme works with deliberate stimuli and supports adaptation. Cold and heat, oxygen intervals (IHHT), ozone therapy, and well-dosed movement provide controlled signals that activate metabolism, modulate inflammation-related processes, and support mitochondrial energy production. Dosage is the decisive factor: medically guided, with defined windows for rest – so regulation and regeneration can take effect.

The result is a noticeable lift in energy and recovery, greater resilience to stress, and steadier resistance in everyday life. Low-carb nutrition is part of the programme: metabolically light, protein-led, and full of flavour – a framework that supports regeneration.

cellular energy

Minimum stay: 5–8 days
The Immune Booster is designed so that meaningful results become possible within a single week – from activation through to regulation. Eight days adds depth: more time for stimulus therapy, nervous-system balance, and routines that stick.
Low Carb metabolic relief
Low-carb nutrition is a fixed part of the programme: plenty of vegetables and salads, moderate fruit, and good-quality protein – everyday-friendly, satisfying, free of heavy sides. The aim is a way of eating that supports metabolism and regeneration – with a clear structure, but no dogma.
Medically supervised. Holistically conceived.
The programme begins with a medical history and examination and ends with a closing consultation. In between, the programme is adjusted to your capacity and goals as it unfolds – medically responsible, therapeutically supported.

What's included

From €805

Tailored treatments and a well-practised team of trusted specialists work together here – calmly, precisely, in tune with each other. The result is a path to greater wellbeing that doesn't just hold for the moment, but stays with you. Today. And in the long run.

Low-Carb Cuisine

Experience an innovative low-carb cuisine that stimulates metabolism and supports fat-burning — entirely without privation. Instead of bread and heavy side dishes: plenty of fresh vegetables, crisp salads, moderate fruit and always a portion of high-quality protein. The result: regaining culinary joy — with pleasure and renewed vitality.

Medical History and Examination

In the medical history and examination, your current state of health and your medical background are carefully gathered. Together we clarify your personal goals and derive the appropriate measures from them — a sound, clear foundation for tangible relief and lasting well-being.

Major Ozone Autohaemotherapy

For susceptibility to infections, general fatigue, hyperacidity, circulatory problems, arthrosis, or to stimulate the immune system. A high-dose mineral and vitamin infusion and/or an alkaline infusion is well suited as a follow-up treatment.

Altitude Training – IHHT

Intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic therapy. A health training programme to enhance physical and mental fitness. Alternating inhalation of oxygen at lower and higher concentrations supports regeneration of the mitochondria, the powerhouses of cellular metabolism. The result: a strengthened immune system, improved stress resilience, protection against oxidative stress, and activation of fat metabolism.

Kneipp Contrast Affusion

The essence of Father Sebastian Kneipp's hydrotherapy. As simple as it is brilliant. Alternating hot and cold affusions invigorate and refresh. They strengthen vascular regulation and the immune system. We begin slowly and work up to just above your knee.

Foot Reflexology Massage

The reflex zones on the feet correspond to almost the entire body, including the inner organs — in that sense, foot reflexology is always a whole-body therapy.

Breath Therapy after Herta Richter

This very gentle treatment offers the breath impulses to unfold. Your own breathing is allowed to settle, guided by the therapist's hands. Vegetative stress states dissolve; you experience deep stillness and inner well-being.

Reflectory Breath Therapy and Massage after Dr Schmitt

Breathing is reawakened in a focused, sometimes vigorous way through intensive (and at times painful) massage stimuli across the whole body. Reflectory breath therapy is a meaningful support for all respiratory conditions such as asthma or bronchitis, but also works holistically.

Craniosacral Therapy

The craniosacral system is a fine pulse system of cerebrospinal fluid. The treatment harmonises this rhythm and helps release blockages within the body. The autonomic nervous system, hormones and immune defences are strengthened, and tinnitus or sleep disturbances may also improve.

Detox Bath

Salt baths have an osmotic effect and support the skin's detoxification. They leave a cleansed, velvety feel — and also relieve rheumatic complaints, muscle soreness or a tendency to cramps.

Frequently asked questions about the Immune Booster programme

How is Immune Booster different from sleeping and taking vitamin C at home?

Immune Booster applies targeted stimuli rather than passive rest. Over five or eight days, the programme combines hot and cold stimuli (Kneipp contrast affusion, detox bath), oxygen intervals (IHHT), ozone autohaemotherapy, breathwork and craniosacral therapy, plus a low-carb diet. Medical supervision ensures the right dosage with defined rest windows – so regeneration and regulation actually take hold. Vitamin C and sleep at home help short term; a structured stimulus-and-recovery programme trains the system more lastingly.

Is Immune Booster the right programme for me?

Immune Booster is for adults who get infections often, feel persistently exhausted, recover poorly after strain, or want to strengthen the immune system preventively. Before each stay, our doctors review your history and any medication. Not suitable: acute infections with fever, severe cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled thyroid conditions, pregnancy, and children or adolescents. For chronic conditions or regular medication, we decide individually which therapies (e.g. ozone, IHHT) make sense for you.

How does an Immune Booster week at Tannerhof unfold?

The programme follows three principles – Activate, Regulate, Stabilise. On the day of arrival, the medical check-in covers history and examination. Stimuli are then placed precisely: IHHT altitude training for the mitochondria, ozone autohaemotherapy and Kneipp contrast affusions for immune function, detox bath and aroma wraps for the skin's elimination. Breath therapy after Herta Richter and after Dr. Schmitt, plus craniosacral therapy, regulate the autonomic nervous system. Low carb runs alongside throughout. At the end, the closing medical consultation contextualises results and gives clear recommendations for home.

What's eaten and drunk during Immune Booster?

During an Immune Booster stay, the Schlanke Tanne Low Carb line runs alongside as a gentle companion: vegetable- and protein-led, with fewer heavy sides. The logic is immune-friendly, not calorie-driven – fewer insulin spikes, enough protein for cell repair, plenty of micronutrients for immune defence. Organic-certified, regional and prepared by hand. Plus herbal teas, mineral water and hot ginger water if you like. Vegetarian preferences welcome on request.

What does Immune Booster cost – and what's included?

The 5-Day Basic starts at €805, the 8-Day Advanced at €1,025 – each a programme package, excluding accommodation. Included: the medical history-taking and examination, the closing consultation, a large ozone autohaemotherapy, IHHT altitude training, Kneipp contrast affusion, foot reflexology, breath therapy after Herta Richter, reflexive breath therapy after Dr. Schmitt, craniosacral therapy and detox bath – plus the low-carb cuisine. Accommodation, further lab work and additional treatments are billed separately.

How long should I plan for Immune Booster: 5 or 8 days?

Five days are enough to run through the core stimuli – oxygen, hot/cold, ozone, breathwork – once and trigger noticeable change. Eight days add depth: more IHHT and ozone repetitions, more time for nervous-system regulation, and for routines that travel home with you. Arrival days are Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. We recommend the five- or eight-day minimum stay, depending on the package.

What does ozone autohaemotherapy do in Immune Booster?

Large ozone autohaemotherapy is a medical procedure: your own blood is enriched with medical ozone and returned. It's traditionally used for proneness to infection, general fatigue, circulatory issues, acidosis and immune stimulation. An infusion of minerals and vitamins or a base infusion can follow. The therapy complements – but doesn't replace – the other elements of the programme, and is medically indicated and supervised.

What happens after Immune Booster – how do I keep the effect?

The effect lasts when you carry the stimulus patterns into everyday life. In the closing consultation you get concrete recommendations – morning Kneipp contrast affusions, breath exercises for autonomic regulation, deliberate time in cold settings or in the sauna, a good sleep rhythm, and protein-led, vegetable-heavy meals. Many guests return after a few months for a second dose of stimuli to refresh the effect.

Can I exercise and hike during Immune Booster?

Yes – measured movement is part of the stimulus design. Walks, hikes in the Tannerhof surroundings, aqua gymnastics and quiet strength sessions work well. Since Immune Booster deliberately uses stimulation (ozone, IHHT, contrast stimuli), rest windows are honoured between treatments – high-performance sport and very long mountain tours in the activation phase don't fit. Our weekly programme includes guided hikes and movement sessions that suit each phase.
